About usBrainstorm was started in 1990 by Kelly Sargent, a photography and graphic design whizbang who had spent quite some years at agencies in the Pacific Northwest followed by a multi-year stint teaching advertising, graphic design and photography at Iowa State University. Although she loved teaching, Kelly felt the call of the wild and decided to open a business for herself.
Brainstorm grew in response to its client’s needs. A company for whom we designed an exhibit would ask us to use the concept we developed as the basis for print ads. Or a company we designed a printed piece for would ask us to redesign their website to make it coincide and so on and so on. So we did. The result is that now Brainstorm has hundreds of clients and serves a huge array of needs. Some think we design trade show displays and trade show graphics; others think we’re the place to go to for logo design, illustrations and photography; still others think we do advertising design and media buying. The fact is, we do all those things. So remember, if it’s about communicating to your customers, we do it. We've made a lot of friends
